About M.U.S.T.

M.U.S.T. — Mothers Unite to Stall Technology — is a grassroots movement built by mothers who believe that childhood is better lived off screens. This website is the home base of that movement. It explains what M.U.S.T. stands for, recruits and trains volunteer ambassadors, helps parents register their children's classrooms, and gathers the articles, news, and research that back up our concerns about smartphones, social media, and excessive screen time.

The site is for every parent and educator who wants children to play, connect, and grow without the constant pull of a device. Class representatives can register their classes, review sample outreach texts and technology pacts, and request anonymous surveys. Parents can browse our gift guide of screen-free presents, catch up on the latest news coverage, and read the research and data behind the initiative. New mothers and community leaders can step up as ambassadors and bring M.U.S.T. to their own schools and neighborhoods.

M.U.S.T. is built and maintained by the Mothers Unite to Stall Technology team together with a growing coalition of community organizations that have reviewed and endorsed the initiative. Everything you see here — from the ambassador tools to the research library — exists to help families push back on technology overload, one classroom and one household at a time.
